According to the powers-that-be of search engine optimization, I’m supposed to update this blog on a regular schedule. I’ve got to tell you all, though: I have struggled in a lot of ways to go about business as usual in the past month. We are living in “Interesting Times” again, as the saying goes.

Actually working with clients has been gratifying. It feels good to help people in small ways even when so much feels far outside of my control. Finding a public voice, however, is a bigger challenge. So many of the non-political values that I built Grail around have become political epithets. Diversity, equity, inclusion, service, empathy… these principles speak to our shared humanity. They threaten no one.

The Grail team will continue to do everything in our power to create a safe and welcoming space for every one of our clients. I am, to be totally transparent, concerned about how the ever-changing tariffs may impact the availability of the styles we carry and the prices that we/ our brands must charge for those products. There hasn’t been any domestic American production of well-structured underwired bras since (approximately) the early 1990s, so the same effects will be felt by all bra retailers in the United States.

We are doubling down on our community initiatives and support for our non-profit partners, so please reach out if there’s something we can do to benefit an Athens-area organization that is near and dear to you. We are all in this together. ❤️
